The rental package covers the venue setup, event, and breakdown time.
All event rentals include access to:

1200 sq. ft. space that can accommodate up to 120 guests standing 80 guests seated
Setup Time = The time allocated to decorating/setting up the venue before the actual event starts.
Event Time = The time your actual event happens.
Breakdown time = The allocated timeframe for removing your decor, cleansing, and restoring the event venue to its original condition prior to rental. The hourly rate will be charged beyond allotted breakdown.
RENTAL OF VENUE
J & V Event Center is located at 14589 Main Street, Houston, TX, United States, 77035. "Renter" is the person or entity renting the Venue for private or public use.
"Renter's Associates" are guests, invitees, contractors, and all other persons whatsoever enter the Venue during the rental period, whether such persons did so with the Renter's knowledge or consent.
GENERAL
The Renter must be 21 years of age or older to book an event. Renter must present a valid state ID or driver's license at the time of booking. It is collected during the booking process. A copy of Renter's identification will be kept on file for verification purposes only. Minors must be always accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. J & V Event Center has a total Venue occupancy of 120. Renter is responsible for ensuring that there are no more than 120 occupants within the Venue at any given time.
DATES/TIMES OF PERMITTED
Renter may only occupy the Event Center during the time specified in the booking agreement. The Renter is required to complete set-up and tear-down within this defined time limit. All outside deliveries/pickups must be made within this defined time limit. If tear-down and removal of non-J & V Event Center equipment is not completed by the end of the rental time, Renter will be responsible for additional rental time at the hourly rate.
RENTAL FEES
At the time of booking, renters are required to submit a 50% deposit of the total rental cost. Please be advised that this deposit is non-refundable. The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 14 days prior to the scheduled rental date.
SECURITY DEPOSIT
A cash incidental payment of $175 is due 3 days before the event to prevent cancellation without refund. Unless the Event Center deems it necessary to repair any damage inflicted upon the Venue by Renter and/or Renter's Associates, the Security Deposit will be released to Renter following the expiration of the rental period. If damages exceed the reserved $175 amount, J & V can charge up to an additional $800 to cover damages.
J & V Event Center will process the Security Deposit transaction as quickly as possible. However, this process may take up to 7 business days following expiration of the rental period to be completed.
CANCELLATION
ALL SPECIALS, PROMOTIONS ARE PAID IN FULL UPON BOOKING AND IS NON- REFUNDABLE NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES.
After paying the 50% deposit of the full balance to reserve your date and hours:
The remaining balance of your invoice is due 14 days before your event. If payment is not made, we have the right to release your date and hours.
In the event of a cancellation 10 days prior to your scheduled event, a refund will be granted amounting to 50% of your previously made payment,
excluding the deposit.
In the event of cancellation less than 10 days before the scheduled date, no refunds shall be granted. You will not receive any refund for the deposit or additional balances.
Deposit Refund: The Security Damage Deposit will be returned to you within 24-48 hours if there is no damage or losses, and if the agreed-upon time is not exceeded.
Deposit Loss: However, if there are damages, losses, or if the time exceeds what was agreed upon, your Security Damage Deposit will be forfeited and not refunded.
We understand life can be unpredictable and unexpected things happen. We can apply any amount paid for a future date within 6 months of your original event date. Please be aware that prices are subject to change due to new dates or hours chosen.
ALCOHOL POLICY
J & V Event Center demands strict adherence to state laws regarding alcohol consumption at the Venue. J & V Event Center's Alcohol Policy will be posted at the front entrance of the Venue. If Renter elects to offer alcohol during the rental period, Renter must understand and adhere to the following:
*J & V Event Center requires that all attendees of events in which alcohol is to be served must be at least 21 years of age.
* J & V prohibits the sale of alcohol on the premises without a permit.
*The Renter is prohibited from posting anything online or in print regarding the sale of alcohol at Renter's event. If alcohol is mentioned, it must state that it is either free or BYOB (i.e. "bring your own beverage"). As a temporary lessee of the Venue, the Renter is permitted by law to provide free alcoholic beverages without a permit. However, to be truly "free" any alcohol that is served must be available to any individual over the age of 21. If free alcoholic beverages are only available to paying customers, the law assumes that the cost of the alcohol is included in the price of the service. In this case, the Renter would be "selling" the alcoholic beverages, and a permit would be required. In other words, when a Renter provides "free" alcoholic beverages, there cannot be any expectation of receiving money. The Renter cannot ask for a "donation" or "tip."
Any and all liabilities arising from the consumption of alcoholic beverages on J & V Event Center premises are the responsibility of the Renter. All Texas state laws and Federal Laws must be adhered to at all times.
*Renter may not serve alcohol to minors on J & V Event Center premises at any time. In addition, Renter must, for everyone's safety, ensure that alcoholic beverages are consumed in a responsible manner. J & V reserves the right, in its exclusive discretion, to expel anyone from the premises who, in its judgment, is intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or who otherwise engages in behavior that jeopardizes the rights of J & V Event Center or the safety of its patrons, staff, guests, employees or property.
*Law enforcement must be present at all rentals in which alcohol is being served. Renter must secure law enforcement directly through the J & V Event Center. Securing law enforcement officials outside of the direct contacts of J & V Event Center is
prohibited.
PROMOTIONS & COPYRIGHT
J & V Event Center encourages Renter/Renter vendors and Renter guests to take photos during the rental. J & V hopes that Renter will share these pictures. Any pictures shared with J & V Event Center can be used for promotional purposes.
SITE DECORATION
J & V Event Center wants to make every rental a special and welcome experience. Therefore, every effort will be made to allow the Renter to prepare decorations reflecting their creative designs.
Nothing may be affixed to any wall, wood, furniture, or painted surface by using putty, wire, tacks, staples, tape, or any material that will harm the finish. Glitter or confetti of any kind is not allowed in any space.
Helium balloons are not allowed in space unless approved one week prior to the event.
CATERING, CLEANING, & TRASH
J & V Event Center will be in a clean and good condition prior to Renter's event. Renter is required to prep the Venue to the same clean condition it was in when Renter took possession. Our event maintenance team oversees the heavy cleaning; however, all Renters are required to complete a Pre-Cleaning Checklist.
The following is the responsibility of the Renter:
All trash must be removed from tables/ chairs and floors and placed in trash container sites around the building. Our team will properly bag and remove trash on Renter's behalf.
All furniture/equipment/decorations brought into the Venue by Renter or Renter's Associates must be removed from the premises prior to the expiration of the rental period.
Failure to return the Venue to the same clean and good condition it was in when Renter took possession will result in the loss of all or part of Renter's Security Deposit. Similarly, any damage inflicted upon the Venue by Renter and/or Renter's Associates may also result in the loss of all or part of the Security Deposit. Ensure no gum or gunk is stuck to the underside of the countertops, tables, or in the sink.
Remove everything from the refrigerators and microwaves. No items should be left behind.
Please help us keep J & V beautiful. If during your event, you notice any of the following, please ask the event tech for assistance:
Clean up all liquid spills immediately.
Clean up any broken glass.
If any glass is broken during your event, you must report the breakage to us no later than the end of your event. This ensures that our cleaning crew is able to do a follow-up clean of the area after your event.
Notify us immediately of any damage done to the venue.
Notify us of any broken tables and chairs just that we are aware of replacing.
J & V Event Center will provide all necessary cleaning supplies to be used for cleanup. Cleaning supplies not provided by J & V Event Center are not allowed to be used to clean up the venue. Cleaning supplies can be found under the sink in the prep area. Brooms/dustpans and mops can be found in the kitchen.
SMOKE-FREE FACILITY
J & V Event Center is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is not permitted inside the Venue or within 30 ft. of any entrance/exit to or from the Venue. The Renter and all of Renter's Associates are prohibited from all forms of smoking, which includes, but is not limited to, smoking cigarettes, cigars, marijuana, CBD products, hookah, illicit drugs, etc. Violation of this policy will result in the loss of the full amount of Renter's Security Deposit.
SECURITY & SURVEILLANCE
J & V Event Center is equipped with video monitoring equipment to ensure the safety of both the Venue and Renter. Recordings are reviewed only in the event of an incident or when deemed necessary by the Venue for security purposes. Recordings are never released publicly or sold and will remain in the sole possession of Party J & V Event Center unless disclosure is otherwise required by law.
CITY, COUNTY, STATE & FEDERAL LAWS
Renter agrees to comply with all applicable city, county, state, and federal laws and shall not engage in any illegal activity on J & V Event Center premises. J & V Event Center is always a drug-free and non-smoking facility, NO EXCEPTIONS.
CONDUCT
Renter and Renter's Associates are, at all times, prohibited from loitering or congregating outside of the Venue, which includes the parking lot bordering the Venue and all immediate surrounding areas.
Disparaging remarks or any type of physical violence by Renter or any of Renter's Associates will not be tolerated and will be cause for immediate expulsion from the Venue. Renter and Renter's Associates must always use the premises in a considerate manner. Conduct that J & V Event Center, in its sole discretion, deems disorderly may be grounds for immediate expulsion from the premises and immediate termination of the rental period. In such cases no refund of the rental fee will be made.
INSURANCE
Special Event Liability Insurance is highly recommended, but not required from Renter. If Renter chooses to provide insurance, proof of such insurance must be provided to J & V Event Center at least ten (10) days prior to the rental date. The insurance must, at Renter's sole expense, provide and maintain public liability and personal property damage insurance, insuring J & V Event Center, contractors and contracted vendors, and all other occupants on the premises during the rental period, against all bodily injury, property damage, personal injury and other loss arising out of Renter's use and occupancy of the premises, which includes all appurtenances to the premises. The insurance required hereunder shall have a single limit liability of no less than $1 million and a general aggregate liability of not less than $2 Million. J & V Event Center shall be named as an additional insured of said policy.
Any caterers and/or outside vendors, companies, and/or institutions who will be present at the Venue during the rental period MUST provide a copy of their Certificate and Catering License to J & V Event Center at least ten (10) days before the rental date.
